Yup! Kanye West is the latest cover illustration featured on The New Yorker, but the image is a remake of a popular 1948 Harry Truman photo, where he’s holding up a newspaper.
Kanye’s paper reads, “Kanye defeats Trump!” The original photo featured Truman, who famously defeated his Republican opponent Thomas E. Dewey, holding up a Chicago Daily Tribune that featured an incorrect headline stating that Dewey had won.
Hmmm…do you think this was shade on The New Yorker’s part?
Either way, it’s a scary thought for either ‘Ye or Trump to actually become president of the United States.
