Jessica Alba is now a billion dollar businesswoman as the CEO of The Honest Co., and Forbes is taking notice.
Always admired for her stunning looks, Jessica wants to be taken seriously as a successful entrepreneur. And how could we not? As the cover star of the latest issue of Forbes magazine, Jessica opens up about trading in her bikini for business:
“People just saw me as this girl in a bikini in movies kicking butt — maybe not the brightest bulb,” she said. “It took three and a half years of condescending nods and pats on the back of ‘good luck’, or ‘go back to endorsing things or go do a perfume.’”
Three years in, The Honest Co., a line of non-toxic, eco-friendly products, is now worth $1 billion dollars. Feeling inspired, and possibly on a #GirlPower kick, we decided to pay homage to other celebrity women who have used their star power to build million dollar business empires.
