Over 70,000 gathered on North Ave in the heart of Old 4th Ward Saturday for one of the most interesting races to ever take place. Yes we are talking about Redbull’s Soapbox Atlanta!
Team Marta Jumps The First Ramp!
People from around the world took part in this event but Atlanta was well represented with teams from Marta, Atlanta Uber involved in the race. Hot 107.9’s REEC served as the finish line host. Race Judges where comprised of Hurricane Dave (Operations Manager Radio-One Atlanta), ATlien & Mutli Platinum recording artist Young Joc served as judges alongside world renowned wake boarder Parks Bannifay, Comedian Ashley Hessentine & the comedic duo Josh & Chuck.

The races where colorful to say the least as spectators saw everything from ninja turtles to giant hot dogs & magicall unicorns make their way down the track.
Although there where some crash and burns there were no injuries except for a few over used laugh muscles stemming from some pretty entertaining performances!
