Sometimes,50 Cent can be a bit of an assh*ole. Generally, his attitude is directed toward fellow rappers and competitors he has a problem with. He’s indiscriminate and relentless in his attacks because by and large, he’s rich enough to not really be affected by his actions. It seems his luck ran out and he went a little too far though.
50 felt the wrath of social media when a video was released of him making fun of airport worker. This might have been overlooked on any other occasion but it turned out the airport work was autistic and had a social anxiety disorder.
“50 Cent caused an uproar across the internet after teasing Andrew Farrell, a Cincinnati airport worker with Autism. He later posted the video on Instagram where people notified 50 that Farrell has Autism and severe social anxiety. The video has since been taken down. In addition to his donation and apology, 50 is also calling on his “fellow musicians, actors, entertainers and all others who may not have fully considered this cause to join together to help in any way they can.”
To his credit, 50 took responsibility for his actions and apologized to Andrew. He also donated $100,000 to “Autism Speaks.” It was a positive move to an ugly situation.
