Being the true GOAT that Serena Williams is, the tennis icon continues to make history. On Sunday at Wimbledon, Williams won her 300th victory at a grand slam tournament beating out Annika Beck, 6-3, 6-0 , Bleacher Report wrote.

“Was it? Cool. Oh, nice,” Williams told the Associated Press. “I had no idea. That’s awesome, right? That’s good, right? I think that’s a lot of matches.”

The 34-year-old is now tied in second place with Chris Evert for the most Grand Slam wins and is only seven matches away from beating Martina Navratilova out of the top spot.

The number one player in the world is currently vying for her seventh Wimbledon title, after beating No.21 seed Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the tourney’s quarterfinals this morning.  Next up for Serena is a family showdown in the semi-finals, as she takes on her sister Venus Williams.  The sisters hold many singles titles.  Venus holds 49 titles and Serena has her beat with 69 titles.   As there careers come closer and closer to an end.  The Williams sisters will once again face off to try and make it to the Wimbeldon Finals.
