However, the performer who many people feel stole the show, is Big K.R.I.T, who delivered a powerful message about police brutality and the Black Lives Matter movement.

To bring his message to life, the Mississippi native wore a police uniform while passionately telling the audience as well as those at home about his perspective:

“Mommas been crying, and they gon’ keep crying … Black folk been dying and they gon’ keep dying … The police been firing and they gon’ keep firing … The government been lying and they gon’ keep lying.”

He continued from the POV of an officer to a person of color., “I hate patrollin’ your space/ Why you livin’?, adding, “I can’t forgive it.”

Plenty of fans have tweeted their appreciate his way and Krit  responded by tweeting “THANK YOU” to his fans.

K.R.I.T. last studio album “Cadillactica” was released back in 2014 and he recently split from his former label, Def Jam Records, to helm his new production company, MULTI.

Nevertheless, people will be on the lookout to see if his next project brings the same feeling that his BET Hip Hop Awards performance did.
