Paul George and the Pacers saved themselves from elimination last night as they barely won against the Heat, and pushed the series to a game 6 at Miami.

All-Star George scored 21 of his 37 points in the fourth quarter and gave Indiana that extra push to keep themselves alive in the playoffs and saved themselves from elimination with a 93-90 win in game 5.

The game proved to be George’s best shooting games in recent memory or maybe his career, allowing the Pacers to push the series and possibly postponing Miami’s run to fourth NBA finals since the big 3 has been assembled. He was 12 of 19 from the field in the second half, finishing with six rebounds, six steals, five 3 pointers and three turners, playing 45 minutes out of 48.

In the Pacers favor, the Heat’s four-time MVP LeBron James was very limited to 24 minutes of game play due to foul trouble. James finished the game with a career low in the playoffs with seven points and just two rebounds. The Heat as a team committed 17 turnover and lost the rebounding battle 45 to 38.

For the Miami Heat it’s the first time the Big Three didn’t eliminate their opponent after losing the first game. Even with LBJ in foul trouble, the Heat still had a chance to win the game. The Heat has another chance to close out the series to make their fourth straight NBA finals appearance.

Game six will take place on Friday in Miami.
