Last week, a line-up was announced for the Soulquarius R&B festival and that line-up includes great names like Erykah Badu, DMX, The Internet and R.Kelly.

However, it looks like R.Kelly’s spot on the line-up could be in jeopardy. According to BET, over the weekend, a Change.org petition was created by R&B fan Jamie Thompson, who says they shouldn’t support Kelly after being accused numerous times of sexual assault over the course of his career.
“It’s this sort of nonchalance and casual embrace of abusers that rests at the fulcrum of rape culture, violence against women, and in this case, misogynoir,” the petition states. “2017 is around the corner and many of us still have to look on in disgust as a proven predator, rapist and serial abuser of young Black girls and women remains embraced in the world of music. Stop booking this man. Stop supporting this man.”
R.Kelly has yet to respond to this petition but we BET says the the petition close to 500 signatures.
