Drake now has a release date for his highly-anticipated debut album “Thank Me Later.”  The emcee spoke with MTV News on Monday night just before he kicked off his “Away From Home Tour” and announced that the record will drop on June 15th.  Last month, Drake released “Over,” the first single off “Thank Me Later.”  He recently discussed the track with MTV saying, quote, “There was this calm before the storm, and ‘Over’ represented the storm to me.  It’s the moment.  I wanted to emerge at first from this album and just let people know ‘This is how I’m coming out in the public eye.  I’m ready for anything.’  Then when you get the album, it’s like, ‘Oh, he’s still human.  He’s still thinking the same way.'”

Drake’s “The Away From Home Tour” got underway Monday night at Pennsylvania’s Slippery Rock University.  The trek will continue into next month when it wraps up in Plymouth, New Hampshire on May 8th.
