It’s been a while since we spoke of the Washington Wizards star, Gilbert Arenas. Ballerstatus.com reports that Gilbert started serving his sentence on Friday (April 9th).
Remember the highly publicized gun incident in the teams locker room in December? Well the time has come and although Arenas was not handed any jail time in his punishment, he checking into the Montgomery County Jail on Friday, where he’ll be spending he next few days for medical screening and classification before being transferred to the county’s Pre-Release Center which is a halfway house.
Gilbert was sentenced to 30 days in a halfway house last month for bringing the weapons into the locker room. Arenas also received two years probation, a $5,000 fine and 400 hours of community service which cannot be performed at basketball clinics.
