As we continue to celebrate Black Music Month, I would like to kick off the new week with a new artist in the Hip-Hop World. It’s the homey Freddie Gibbs coming out of Gary, Indiana.
Gibbs maybe new to some and non existent to others so let’s do a little history lesson. As Mentioned before Freddie Gibbs is from the Midwest, more specifically Gary Indiana, He currently is residing in Southern California to make proper connects and perfect his craft. Gibbs was signed to Interscope Records which houses giants in the hip hop industry such as Eminem, 50 Cent, Timbaland and Pharrell but no product materialized with his stint with the label.

Freddie Gibbs was also ushered into the elite “Freshmen 10” class with up and comers Nipsey Hussle and J. Cole by XXL magazine. Check him out on the Freshman 10 mix tape hosted by DJ Who Kid. One of his featured tracks is called “You’s A H*e.
In addition to the freshmen 10 you can also pick up or download “This Miseducation of Freddie Gibbs” and “midwestgangstaboxframecadillacmuzik” which he adopts titles from classic albums from both Lauryn Hill and Outkast.
