West coast emcee Game says one of basketball’s biggest stars is influencing the release of his upcoming “The R.E.D. Album.”  The rapper recently took to his Twitter account to announce that his next record will drop on August 24th in honor of Los Angeles Laker Kobe Bryant.  Game tweets, quote, “I pushed my album back so it would land on Kobe’s #’s… 8 & 24 n it’s year 10 n that was his Olympic #.  R.E.D. In stores 8-24-10!”  Game’s “R.E.D. Album” was first scheduled to arrive on June 15th, but was delayed until July 6th.  Earlier this month, the rap star announced that his record would be dropping later this summer.

Game’s “The R.E.D. Album” will feature appearances from artists like Gucci Mane, T.I., Lil Wayne, Akon and Justin Timberlake.  The record is Game’s follow-up to 2008’s “LAX,” which hit number one on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
