Lil Wayne’s legal troubles continue to make headlines. According to the “Yuma Sun,” the rap superstar pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a dangerous drug in Arizona on Friday. Wayne is currently serving time in New York’s Rikers Island on weapons charges, but was able to appear in a Yuma courtroom via a video feed. Following his guilty plea, Lil Wayne’s charges for possession of a narcotic drug for sale, misconduct involving weapons, and possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed. “Weezy’s” charges in the Grand Canyon State stem from a January 2008 incident in which his tour bus was stopped by the U.S. Border Patrol. Officers allegedly found cocaine, ecstasy, and a handgun inside the vehicle. Drug Enforcement agents also said they found drug paraphernalia, four onces of marijuana, and a 40-caliber pistol.

Superior Court Judge Mark Wayne Reeves will sentence the rapper on June 30th. He could face 36 months of probation, which would begin once he is done serving his current eight-month sentence in New York.
