New York emcee Fat Joe is being accused of a serious criminal offense. AllHipHop.com is reporting that a Madison, Wisconsin woman told police that she was sexually assaulted by the rapper following his Sunday night show at The Orpheum Theater. The woman reportedly entered Fat Joe’s limo shortly after midnight Monday morning and began traveling with the rap star and his entourage to a hotel. During the trip, the woman claims that Fat Joe — whose real name is Joe Cartagena — touched her in an inappropriate manner. Police officer Howard Payne says the “investigation is ongoing,” adding that they’ve questioned several of the people involved. Payne states, quote, “Cartagena was questioned along with others in his entourage. Detectives briefly detained subjects involved in this matter, and released parties after interviews were completed.”
Fat Joe is preparing to release his tenth studio album, “The Darkside Volume One.” The record is expected in stores on July 27th.
