Hip-hop superstar Eminem surprised some of his fans when he decided to put pop diva Rihanna on his new “Recovery” album. The singer teamed up with ‘Em for his track “Love The Way You Lie.” Rihanna tells E! News that she wasn’t about to turn down an opportunity to work with the rap icon. She states, quote, “They reached out to us directly and they just said, ‘We have this song and we think Rihanna would be perfect to sing it.’ And of course, I was like, ‘Ok, if I love it, I’ll definitely do it, because I love Eminem.’ And I love the song.” Rihanna adds that she would love to perform the song live with Eminem during his joint concert with Jay-Z at Detroit’s Comerica Park and New York’s Yankee Stadium. She remarks, quote, “That’s a huge stage to be a part of.”
Eminem’s “Recovery” album arrived in stores on Monday. The record also features appearances from Lil Wayne and Pink, as well as Eminem’s current hit single “Not Afraid.”
