Nelly is set to make history in his home state of Missouri.  According to AllHipHop.com, the St. Louis native will become the first rapper to perform in the town of Branson later this summer.  Nelly will take the stage on August 21st during the reopening of the Grand Palace.  The “Hot In Herre” rapper will entertain fans in the parking area, as the main building will still be undergoing construction.  Representatives for the Grand Palace say Nelly’s concert is the beginning of an attempt to expand Branson’s concerts to hip-hop, R&B, and other genres of music.  Nelly is currently working on his sixth solo effort, “Nelly 5.0.”  The record will reportedly arrive on September 21st.
