Nicki Minaj is feeling good about her upcoming, debut album. The emcee spoke with MTV News and explained that she’s been putting together some great music with one of rap’s biggest producers. She states, quote, “The album is coming along just spectacular. I been doing a lot of work with Swizz [Beatz], and the stuff that we been coming upon is magical.” Minaj says the record is coming along so well that it’s surpassing even her expectations. She adds, quote, “I really didn’t think I would be this excited about the songs that I’m coming up with. I’m really, really proud.”
The first single off Nicki Minaj’s album is the Sean Garrett-assisted “Massive Attack.” The track debuted in April, and peaked at number 65 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. A release date for Nicki Minaj’s debut album has not been announced.
