NBA superstar LeBron James made headlines across the globe last week when he announced that he would be joining Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh as a member of the Miami Heat. Some of Miami’s biggest rap stars are now weighing in on James’ decision, proclaiming that the Heat will be dominating the league for years to come. Rick Ross tells AllHipHop.com, quote, “Heat is the new Ming dynasty,” while DJ Khaled adds, quote, “With Bron coming all we’ll do is win, win, win no matter what. The city deserves this.” Legendary Miami emcee Luke says LeBron joining the Heat is the biggest thing to ever happen to his hometown. He states, quote, “I am so happy that I have been a fan from day one. And happy for my city.”
While Miami’s collection of hip-hop stars are all smiles, there’s at least one rapper who isn’t happy LeBron James chose the Heat. Jay-Z is a minority owner of the New Jersey Nets, and had been trying to convince LeBron to sign his next contract with New Jersey.
