Irish rockers U2 are topping a new list of top music money makers. According to Forbes.com, U2 earned 130-million-dollars on their recent “360 Degree” world tour and other deals to land the title world’s top-earning musicians. “Forbes” says the group made ten-million-dollars in ticket sales on each tour stop, along with revenue from merchandising. Second on the Forbes.com list of top music earners are veteran Australian rockers AC/DC who earned 114-million-dollars from their world tour. R&B singer Beyonce Knowles was third with 87-million-dollars in earnings. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band finished in fourth place with 70-million, and pop superstar Britney Spears rounded out the top five with estimated earnings of 64-million-dollars.
Other top earners on the list included rap superstar Jay-Z at number six with 63-million, followed by Lady Gaga in seventh place with 62-million. Madonna earned 58-million to land the number eight spot. She was followed by The Black Eyed Peas and Coldplay tied at number ten with 48-million-dollars each in earnings.
