Actor Wesley Snipes has lost his appeal of a three-year prison sentence and is bound for jail on felony tax charges.  A federal appeals court yesterday upheld Snipes’ conviction in 2008 in Florida for three misdemeanors based on failing to file income tax returns for 1999 through 2001.

During his sentencing two years ago, prosecutors said Snipes had earned over 38-million-dollars since 1999 but did not pay taxes or file returns.  The actor claimed in his appeal the sentence was unreasonable and that he should have been placed on probation.

There is no word on when or where Snipes will be expected to report to to prison.  Snipes is known for starring in the “Blade” movies and most recently was seen on the big screen as a former convict in “Brooklyn’s Finest.”

Awww, but how do you not file taxes? Hopefully he’ll find out after his birthday coming up at the end of this month on the 31st.
