CHICAGO — A pregnant Toronto woman received some help from Oprah Winfrey this week after her water broke during a taping of the talk show queen’s program.

Lori McCrindle was in the audience for an “Oprah” taping Thursday in Chicago.

When she realized the baby was coming, an ambulance was called and Winfrey ushered her off to the hospital.

McCrindle was taken to Rush University Medical Center where she gave birth to a baby boy named Justin, who is two pounds, 13 ounces.

During a telephone interview on Friday’s show, McCrindle, who was 27 weeks pregnant, told Winfrey she got to the hospital just in time and that the baby is fine.

Winfrey sent McCrindle her best wishes and said she’d fly her back to see an “Oprah” taping whenever she wanted.

“After all these years it is not too often we have a first,” Winfrey said. “But yesterday was a doozy.”
