Jay-Z’s upcoming book Decoded is due out Nov. 16th, 2010. The autobiography is a collaboration between Jay and writer/long time friend Dream Hampton, which will tell a detailed first person memoir of Jay-Z’s life from his Marcy Project childhood to the hip-hop mogul of today throughout the span of 336 pages and include interviews with close family & friends as well as lyrics and pictures of his creative recording process. The book was completed several years ago, and as of yet, details on whether the book will contain chapters of more recent events is unclear.

“It’s not anything I haven’t said in the past, in songs. It’s just more detailed. A song is three minutes long. A book doesn’t have to rhyme, and it has no time limit, so you can say exactly how everything went.”

“He married my mom at a time when guys were just leaving, and you’d never even meet your dad. So it made me ease up a little bit in how I felt about him.”
