Another one of hip-hop’s biggest names has been added to the MTV Video Music Awards lineup. MTV announced on Thursday that Canadian emcee Drake will be taking the stage at this year’s ceremony. Drake — who is nominated for Best Hip-Hop Video and Best Male Video — joins a list of performers that already includes Kanye West and Florence and the Machine. MTV has also revealed that Drake’s Young Money labelmate Nicki Minaj will be a presenter at this year’s awards. R&B stars Trey Songz and Ne-Yo will also serve as presenters. The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards will air live from Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre on September 12th at 9:00 p.m. Eastern. Fans can cast their vote by visiting VMA.MTV.com.
