A new track spearheaded by Kanye West with rapper Raekwon and teen singer Justin Bieber is online. The “Runaway Love (Remix)” surfaced Monday on the website HipHopConnection.com. The track starts with a rhyme from Raekwon. It then rolls into a throwback R&B vocal from Bieber, then switches up to a verse from West. The collaboration was born on Twitter a few weeks ago when West began sending messages to Bieber. The rapper mentioned how taken he was with the pop sensation’s original version of “Runaway Love.” West then invited Raekwon to be a part of the track. Raekwon soon confirmed to “XXL” magazine that the song was “definitely” going to happen.
Both West and Bieber are slated to perform at next month’s MTV Video Music Awards. The show will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California on September 12th at 9:00 p.m. Eastern.
