Drake’s follow-up to his hit debut album, “Thank Me Later,” might not be far off.  Young Money president Mack Maine tells MTV News that the emcee could have a new record in stores before next summer.  He remarks, quote, “Real possible,” adding, quote, “Why not? Give them what they want.”  Mack Maine goes on to say that new music from Drake could be out as early as the Christmas holidays, noting that fans should “expect the unexpected.”  He states, quote, “His formula is crazy.  He works fast.  I can’t give the secret away to the formula.  He’s a musical genius.”

Drake’s “Thank Me Later” dropped in June, opening at number one on the Billboard 200 with first week sales of 447-thousand.  The record has since been certified platinum.
