Jay-Z’s new clothing venture with the New York Yankees appears to be going over well with fans. From now until September 14th, Yankee merchandise such as hats, T-shirts, and hooded sweatshirts that feature Jay-Z’s logo from his “Blueprint 3” album can be purchased exclusively at Yankee Stadium. MTV News spoke with shoppers in the Bronx who all seem to really enjoy the new look. Paulette Esparza remarks, quote, “The design is cool,” while Alex Matthewson adds, quote, “The Yankees selling Jay-Z stuff is just the best of both worlds, isn’t it.” Jay-Z’s new line of Yankee clothing commemorates his upcoming concerts with Eminem at Yankee Stadium. The shows will take place on September 13th and 14th.
“Hov” and Em’s New York shows will follow two dates in Eminem’s hometown of Detroit. The duo will perform at Comerica park this Thursday and Friday. Soundchecks for the Detroit concerts took place Tuesday afternoon.
