On Kanye West’s debut album College Dropout the disgruntled workers anthem “Spaceships” was considered one of the standout tracks for its honesty. Assisting him on the track were Consequence and Chicago native GLC.
With the Labor Day weekend upon us TheUrbanDaily wanted to share piece of our interview with GLC where he speaks about the “jobs” he was juggling when “Spaceships” was created.
“I remember Kanye was staying over in Hoboken, NJ and I was still in Chicago at the time,” he remembers.”He was like man G you don’t need to be hustling or working for nobody. You just need to be focused on this music. You have a gift.”
