Eminem continues to open up about his battle with drugs.  The emcee is currently back atop the rap game, but he admits that getting clean was a huge hurdle in his career.  He tells the “New York Post,” quote, “I had to learn to write and rap again, and I had to do it 100 percent clean.”  Em adds, quote, “That didn’t feel good at first…I mean it in the literal sense.  I actually had to learn how to say my lyrics again.”  Eminem admits that he was more susceptible to drug use once he became successful, noting that his wealth made it easy for him to get drugs whenever he wanted.  The rapper eventually kicked his addiction, but he still had a few issues to iron out with his 2009 album “Relapse.”

Eminem states, quote, “I was able to hear the problems with all the accents I was using to slip in and out of characters, and how the serial killing didn’t work.  The joke was over, I ran it into the ground.”  Now that he’s sober, Em says he’s providing more “personal honesty” in his music and enjoying life.  He adds, quote, “Not to sound corny, I felt like I was born again.”  On Tuesday night, Eminem and Jay-Z wrapped up their four-show concert series with a performance at New York’s Yankee Stadium.  The duo performed at Detroit’s Comerica Park on September 2nd and 3rd, followed by another show Yankee Stadium this past Monday.
