Eminem and Jay-Z’s series of baseball stadium concerts appears to have been a huge hit with fans. MTV News caught up with some of those in attendance Tuesday night at New York’s Yankee Stadium, and the reviews were nothing but positive. Concertgoer Alex Deiderian remarked, quote, “I thought it was the most incredible show I’ve ever seen in my life,” while audience member Mika Bennett adds, quote, “I had tears in my eyes. It was crazy.” Bell Biv DeVoe’s Michael Bivins was also in the house on Tuesday, and said Eminem and Jay-Z’s mini-tour was a great moment for music. He stated, quote, “These brothers have been through something — Jay’s struggle and Eminem’s recovery — and it comes across as entertainment, and I think it comes off as incredible.”
Eminem and Jay-Z’s four-part concert series got underway with shows at Detroit’s Comerica Park September 2nd and 3rd. The duo then took the stage at Yankee Stadium this past Monday and Tuesday. Hip-hop and R&B stars like Beyonce, Kanye West, 50 Cent, Drake, Dr. Dre, and Nicki Minaj all stopped by to help rock the crowds.
