Up-and-coming singer-songwriter Bruno Mars was in Las Vegas over the weekend to perform, but he’s making headlines for something else. EOnline.com reports that the R&B singer was arrested Sunday on suspicion of narcotics possession. Mars was reportedly taken into custody just before 3:00 a.m. by Hard Rock Hotel security officials. His Saturday night show was a guest-list only event that was supposed to be taped. The singer has remained quiet about the alleged weekend arrest. He sent a message via Twitter on Monday that said he had arrived in Dallas, Texas to do some radio appearances there.
Mars’ current single, “Just The Way You Are,” is currently number three on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. The track comes from his new album, “Doo-Wops & Hooligans,” which arrives on October 5th.
