Marques Houston returned last week with his new album “Mattress Music.” The singer has released adult-themed music in the past, but says he really wanted his latest release to be “sexy” from start to finish. Houston tells MTV News, quote, “I originally was gonna title the album ‘Baby-Making Music,’ but I thought that was a little bit too forward. So I said, ‘Let’s think of something that can say the same thing but not be so potent.” Marques Houston says “Mattress Music” compares to his 2005 release “Naked,” but notes that his latest effort does a better job of embracing its sexual side. He adds, quote, “There was a couple songs on there that flirted with the idea of it being mature, but this one I wanted to go all the way. It’s definitely one you can put on in the bedroom.”
Marques Houston’s “Mattress Music” arrived in stores last Tuesday. The record features the singles “Kickin’ and Screamin'” and “Pullin’ On Her Hair.” Houston’s last release, “Mr. Houston,” dropped last September.
