Trey Songz just narrowly missed opening at number one on the Billboard 200 chart.  The singer’s latest release, “Passion, Pain & Pleasure,” arrives at number two this week after selling 240-thousand copies.  Rockers Linkin Park were able to secure the top spot as their new album, “A Thousand Suns,” had first week sales of 241-thousand.  Despite falling short of number one, “Passion, Pain & Pleasure” still provides Trey Songz with his best week of sales and highest debut on the Billboard 200.  His last effort, 2009’s “Ready,” opened at number three on the chart with first week sales of 131-thousand.

Rap superstar Eminem continues his run in the Billboard 200’s top five, as his “Recovery” album moved another 89-thousand copies to take the number three spot.  Country star Jamey Johnson is at number four, as his album “The Guitar Song” sells 63-thousand units.  Robert Plant’s “Band of Joy” debuts at number five with first week sales of 49-thousand.
