Nonchalant was a Washington, DC based rapper who released one album, 1996’s Until The Day, that spawned a top 40 single in “5 O’Clock.”

“5 O’Clock” was a story about a drug dealer who would be out on the corner at 5am in the morning selling his illegal wares.

The song resonated with a wide audience, peaking at number 24 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart and number 10 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop chart.

Nonchalant released a few more singles, but none of them caught on, and she faded into obscurity.
