R&B singer Mario is facing charges for allegedly attacking his mother in the Baltimore apartment they share. According to the “Baltimore Sun,” the former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant, whose full name is Mario Bennett, is charged with one count of second-degree assault. Mario’s mother, Shawntia Hardaway, told police the Baltimore-born singer had been “throwing and damaging property” in their apartment and pushed her using his hands and forearms. Inside the home, police found a damaged china cabinet, a broken mirror and a large hole in a closet door. Hardaway, who has admitted a past heroin addiction, also told police Mario pushed her into a wall earlier this week, causing her to hit her head. There is no word on what caused the altercations. Mario was arrested and released after posting a 50-thousand dollar bond.
