Comedian Dave Chappelle has tested positive for COVID-19, according to TMZ. Chappelle was set to perform a set of shows in Austin, Texas with fellow comedian Joe Rogan but they have since been canceled.

2. Karl-Anthony Towns

Minnesota Timberwolves superstar Karl-Anthony Towns is the latest NBA baller to test positive for COVID-19.

Towns revealed the devastating news on Twitter Friday evening (Jan.15). His positive test’s news comes after he just returned from a wrist injury, now he will miss even more time. Towns’ positive COVID-19 diagnosis is personal to him, being that during the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, both his mom, Jacqueline Brooks, and dad caught the virus. His father recovered, but his mother passed away due to complications from the coronavirus after being put in a medically induced coma. He later revealed that he lost other family members to COVID-19.

Podcast host Kate Casey took to Twitter to announce ‘RHOD’ Star D’Andra Simmons was hospitalized with COVID-19. Simmons rep confirmed the news to TMZ and went on to say D’Andra’s been admitted into the COVID ward at UT Southwestern Hospital and isn’t doing well.

Gospel Singer Fred Hammond reveals he along with other members of his family have tested positive for COVID-19. He went on to reiterate the importance of masks as he believes he may have been too relaxed a time or two which led to his current diagnosis. 

Hammond also confirmed while he is on day five since testing and had a rough weekend last weekend but is unsure of if the worst has passed.
