Lauryn Hill spoke with MTV about the “free-form” style of her Rock The Bells performance in NY this past weekend.

Lauryn capped her long-awaited return to the stage with a bang. She performed the Fugees’ “Fu-gee-la” to close her set at the NY stop of Rock The Bells and she grabbed some celebs (Mary J Blige, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beats, John Legend & Jay-Z) who were watching her performance close by.

With all this talk about Nicki Minaj being the new Lauryn Hill (I just threw up in my mouth a little while typing that sentence), and Kanye claiming that she could be the second best rapper of all time, when this new Nicki Minaj track leaked, I went in with an open mind.

Lauryn Hill has made her first appearance on Billboard’s singles chart in over decade, thanks to a song that leaked on the internet a few weeks ago.

There are dozens, maybe hundreds of songs by female MCs that have earned their place in hip-hop history. But sometimes it’s not a whole song, just a verse, 8 to 16 bars that serve as defining moments for that MC.

Lauryn at times made me feel as though she was off key and on drugs,- – I love her but, you have to admit something issn’t right? What yall think?

First an unreleased track and now she is life on stage. Maybe this Lauryn Hill comeback is real this time

We have no idea how new this is, but it’s still new to us!

Not too many Women look good with dreads and Lauryn Hill was one of those women. Now scroll down for the new do! As long as this leads to some new music and a better representation of black women in music…I’m not mad at her! Prayers are still going out to her and her family.

Just when we thought the line-up for the 2010 Rock The Bells festival couldn’t get any better…. it got better.

Yesterday’s rumor about Lauryn Hill headlining the 2010 Rock The Bells festival had the internets going nuts!
